Hong Kong Pools

When you think of Hong Kong, shopping and dim sum might come to mind but what about swimming? From the world’s highest pool to a natural infinity pond on a mountainside and a number of public water parks, this city has some pretty amazing pools.

If you are looking for a pool that is centrally located, then the YMCA Bridges Street Centre may be the place for you. It’s the first indoor swimming pool in Hong Kong and it is fairly affordable in comparison to other pools around town. It also hosts swimming lessons for kids which is a great way to introduce your little ones to the sport.

While you’re here, you should check out the Hong Kong Museum of Contemporary Art as well. You can see the famous “The Floating Room” by Yayoi Kusama here as well as other interesting pieces of modern art.

Another cool thing to do is take a trip to the Tai Po District. The Tai Po District is one of the most culturally diverse areas in all of Hong Kong and it’s also home to the famous acrobatic performance group, The Cloud Gate Dance Theatre. It’s an amazing show to see for both locals and visitors alike!

If you’re looking for a more serious swim, the UNO Health & Kinesiology Swimming Pool is a great choice. It’s the on-campus practice and competition venue for the Omaha swimming & diving program and it can seat up to 800 spectators in its natatorium’s upper seating area. The facility includes spacious locker rooms, on-deck bleacher seating for competing teams and office space for the coaching staff.

The Tsing Yi swimming pool is a good choice for families as it features a leisure pool with lots of water slides for different ages. They also have a teaching and diving pool as well as an indoor pool, so there is something for everyone here. They also have family changing cubicles which makes it even easier to bring the whole family.

This is a wonderful way to spend some time outdoors and enjoy the gorgeous weather that Hong Kong has to offer. It’s also a great way to stay healthy and get some exercise in.
